The story of Blasted Ink began in 2015 when a small tattoo shop on University Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota approached our agency with a request for a unique and creative way to represent their abilities to design and produce custom tattoos.
Through the use of hand-drawn typography and a distinctive color scheme, we were able to create a powerful and memorable brand that stands out in a crowded marketplace. The end result was a stunning and effective visual identity that helped establish Blasted Ink as a leading tattoo shop in the Twin Cities area.
Our primary goal was to seamlessly integrate a tattoo machine into the capital letter "B," drawing inspiration from the post-modern typographic tattoo style that frequently features cursive ligatures found in tattoo parlors. This would help us create a visual identity that reflected our client's unique artistry and dedication to their craft.
